That's why they're mostly solid, with little space inside, and a bunch of complicated passageways. Perfect design for a grain bin. And they only took 50 years each to make.

I couldn't finish I have a lot to do later and can't get sleepy headed even though it starts out by him saying it will be short but I am sure it is some insane crap coming out of his pie hole

That, coupled with his own particular brand of condescension makes him (at least to me) the most unattractive of a very unattractive field of so-called 'candidates'.

Ben Carson: Archaeologists Are Wrong, The Pyramids Were Built To Store Grain

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/ben-carson-pyramids
By Tierney Sneed Nov 4, 2015

GOP frontrunner Ben Carson, in a 1998 commencement address, floated his own personal theory that the pyramids in Egypt were built by Joseph -- the biblical patriarch known for his coat of many colors -- to store grain, Buzzfeed reported.

In the speech -- given at Andrews University, a school with ties to Carson's Seventh-day Adventist faith -- the neurosurgeon shot down claim that aliens had built the pyramids. But he also disagreed with the archaeological consensus that the pyramids were constructed as tombs for the pharaohs.

“My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,” Carson said. “Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain.”

... with his staggering stupidity in matters of science. Maybe it's just an inability to grasp abstract concepts that makes him resort to ridiculous pronouncements unsupported by so much as a whisper of empirical evidence.

Why is it that extremist religions always feel the need to challenge science? And they always seem to choose utterly absurd arguments that have zero basis in reality. The Earth is only 6,000 years old? J.C. rode a dinosaur? The pyramids were grain silos? Really? These contentions can be dismantled by the average six-year-old in seconds, yet a disturbing percentage of the electorate clings to such insane notions. And they walk among us unsupervised! And. They. BREED!

Carson is definitely half a sandwich short of a picnic.

Fuck it. We're all doomed.
