Papantonio: Third Way Hillary Clinton Is The Wrong Way

The Third Way, an establishment centrist Democratic group, is afraid of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and his left-wing views. This fear is indicative of the worries that Democratic Wall Street shills have for Sanders because the candidate challenges their pro-corporate politics. But Sanders is exactly what Washington needs, despite corporate media’s attempt to derail Sanders.

Mike Papantonio appears on The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann to discuss this.

I use to listen to ring of fire, and Thom, but they
turn to bashing Hillary to help Bernie, whom I
believe is not qualified to lead the Dem party.

Both men bash Dem's who have run for office, while
they sit on the sideline bash people like Hillary and Obama.
Thom has been a Nader supporter, and it was Nader
that helped put Bush in the White House.

I have lost a lot of respect for both, they whine about
politicians that carry their water for them.

However, I would say that Pap and Thom are well educated,
I just think their talk has become just that cheap talk.

Go Hillary!! A real Dem and a Dem that's out their fighting

Provide proof. Hartmann has been praising Hillary on his show daily.

The GOP cheating and stealing is what put Bush in the White House.

Hillary is not a "real Dem", she's a moderate Republican, just like the kind Obama described himself as.

There are not many realer than Hillary when it comes to Dem's,
she has walked the precincts, raised money, put herself
out to campaign: and for almost 30 years work to keep
the Dem party going, in the good times and in the bad times,
she has never quit. (She knows the GOP fight is a life
time fight). Sanders just decided at 73, he would run for
President: sorry to little to late!

Sanders people are always making things up about Dem's:
when they have never walked the walk, they have stayed on the
sidelines bashing the party, or joining other parties and other movements.
The party is never good enough for the Sanders supporters, but
its all the people have right now against the GOP.

Sanders supporters are whiny socialist not Dem party supporters, they
just join to put their left wing ideologue candidate forward: who not many
Americans want.

Can you list 5 reasons why Hillary Clinton is qualified to lead the Democratic Party
(being married to Bill is not one of them)
And while you are at list 5 reasons you believe Hillary is a progressive.
No one supporting Hillary has been able to do this so far.

I have already listed and explain my reason over and over again,
I don't feel I have to audition my credentials as a Hillary supporter
she has written many books and her career is 30 years or more,
it didn't start the day Sanders announced for President.
Hillary is one of a kind, but an easy obvious reason is she is a loyal
Dem party leader.
Sander refused to joined the Dem party until he ran for office, that
alone just doesn't cut it for me.

As far as my comment about age: you misunderstood, I don't care
that Sanders is 73:I object to him joining the Dem party at 73, and
having never done anything but talk on the nation scene:

Hillary and other Dem's have been caring his water against the
GOP for years: They put their families and lives on the line for
the country and the Dems.

I want to read 5 reasons why you think she is a progressive and you cannot do that.
As for Bernie Sanders he has been fighting for the middle class/working class his entire political life, and you cannot say that about Hillary Clinton. Hillary is owned by the corporate United States.
As for what I said about not being married to Bill cant be a qualification for her, that was a joke but hey you cannot list 5 reasons
but still Bill is behind the scenes throwing the negatives out there.

I'm sure Hillary has many reasons for wanting to be President but fighting for the middle class is not one of them.
If Hillary truly was for middle class America she would not be taking millions of dollars from "Citizens United Groups"
Have you ever heard Hillary talk about issues that were direct assaults on the Too Big to fail banks, the Pharmaceutical Companies or the Hedge Fund Bankers..Hell no you haven't because that is her bread and butter campaign funding.
She said in the debate that Pharmaceuticals was one of her enemies but the very next day she received $160,000 from a
Pharmaceutical and sure as hell didn't return it.
What was comical about a week ago a rep from Emily's said Bernie was a sexist, and I don't know if that was before they gave Hillary $187,000 or after.

https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/contrib.php?cycle=All&id=N00000019&type=f

But regardless of what you say or what I say neither one of us will be swayed to the other candidate but I have voted in 11 Pm & GE and
and I'm careful to choose the Democrat that best represents my interests and this cycle its Bernie Sanders.

She was liberal before it was cool to call libs progressives,
as far as the future will have to see. ( The more votes
she get the more leverage she will have against the GOP).
However, she is smart not to put her cards on the table
she may be able to dupe the GOP, their party
leaders are not very smart, they are just mean and greedy.

"Progress" according Lincoln takes place in relationship to the heart,
or we could mistake change for progress like going old.

Hillary (her heart is in right place) is very progressive because her politics are for caring sharing politics
that is what it means to be a Dem.

Hillary Clinton to Chart Centrist Democratic Agenda

By Alex Chadwick - JULY 26, 200512:00 AM ET

Alex Chadwick talks with Bruce Reed, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, about this week's meeting of the Democratic Leadership Council, a centrist party organization. The group has appointed Hillary Clinton to define a party agenda for the upcoming 2006 and 2008 elections.

ALEX CHADWICK, host:

Political news. Meeting in Ohio, several hundred centrist Democrats have chosen New York Senator Hillary Clinton to formulate a set of policies the party can take into national elections for Congress next year and for control of the White House in 2008. The group that met in Columbus is called the Democratic Leadership Council. Its president and co-founder is Bruce Reed. He was domestic policy adviser to Senator Clinton's husband, Bill Clinton, when he was president. Mr. Reed's now writing a column for Slate magazine called The Has-Been.

Bruce Reed, welcome to DAY TO DAY.

Why Hillary Clinton to undertake this task for the moderate, centrist Democratic Leadership Council?

BRUCE REED (Slate; Co-founder, Democratic Leadership Council): Well, Senator Clinton has been an intellectual leader in the party for many years, and she's been involved with the DLC for a couple of decades now, so she was a natural choice to head up this effort to reach out to Democrats of all stripes and thinkers throughout the party to come up with a positive agenda for the country....

Full article:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4771471

Bill Clinton was the Chairman of the DLC from 1990-1991. When the DLC ended it's charter it's records were sold to the Clinton Foundation:

Democratic Leadership Council

The Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) was a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation[1] founded in 1985 that, upon its formation, argued the United States Democratic Party should shift away from the leftward turn it took in the late 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The DLC hailed President Bill Clinton as proof of the viability of Third Way politicians and as a DLC success story.

The DLC's affiliated think tank is the Progressive Policy Institute. Democrats who adhere to the DLC's philosophy often call themselves New Democrats. This term is also used by other groups who have similar views on where the party should go in the future, like NDN[2] and Third Way.[3]

On February 7, 2011, Politico reported that the DLC would dissolve, and would do so as early as the following week.[4] On July 5 of that year, DLC founder Al From announced in a statement on the organization's website that the historical records of the DLC have been purchased by the Clinton Foundation.[5] The DLC's last chairman was former Representative Harold Ford of Tennessee, and its vice chair was Senator Thomas R. Carper of Delaware. Its CEO was Bruce Reed...
