and fear rules.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A small-town police officer who fatally shot an unarmed motorist in the back as he lay face down on the ground was acquitted Thursday at her murder trial.

A Dauphin County jury acquitted Hummelstown Officer Lisa Mearkle of third-degree murder and voluntary and involuntary manslaughter charges in a shooting captured by a camera attached to her stun gun.

Warning. Disturbing.

He died of his gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement requires a professional approach not screaming hysteria.

A Dauphin County jury acquitted Hummelstown Officer Lisa Mearkle of third-degree murder and voluntary and involuntary manslaughter charges in a shooting captured by a camera attached to her stun gun.

The video, which was played to jurors, showed Mearkle shocking 59-year-old David Kassick after he fled from a traffic stop before shooting him twice in the back as he lay face down in the snow in February.

There was obviously no threat.
Hell, she's fucking tazing and shooting him at the same time!
And she will likely get her fucking job back.
And she will kill some else.

This is why people hate cops. They are murdering assholes without conscience.
Comply or die.

kills him when he fails to do so.

It's an occupation of the territory, not policing.

7. So you are being tazed and still are expected to comply with all demands?

As if your body is not lit up with electrical volts that make you want to curl up in a ball and hide.

Take away the guns. Take away the tasers. Start teaching cops how to talk to people first, and deescalate the situation. And stop killing people who run from cops...unless you know you are chasing a hardened and dangerous criminal with a gun, don't just assume everyone is a hardened criminal with a gun. Most people who run are just scared.

10. I think that there is another thing besides the guns going

on here. The other day I heard a good friend who was angry at someone say "I should shot her and say I was afraid for my life."

We hear that one sentence almost every time someone (usually unarmed) is killed.

If they claim that at a trial they almost always get away with what they have done - even with a 12 year old boy.

I think this country used to have self-defense laws that called for the defendant to prove there was any reason to kill other than fear. In other words every killing would automatically go to trial and would require the defendant to prove there was any reason for this fear. That should make shooting an unarmed person a crime. If the cameras show that indeed the victim acted as if s/he were going for a gun then there might be a question.

Otherwise I can shoot anyone coming to my door because my dog goes wild and makes me uneasy.

My question is, is it safe to go into the county now that she has been acquitted on her style of color of law protection-------------I think I will go around the town and ..............................

I wonder if its time to start wearing flack jackets ------just saying
