This is a 13 minute video that discusses an open letter sent from AI and robotics researchers on the need for a treaty regulating lethal autonomous weapons systems:

At this point, we should all be aware that very advanced AI is not far over the horizon and that humans will be taken out of the equation in large sectors of the military sooner than we think. The F-35 could very well be the last manned fighter jet that is developed for instance. I'm not confident treaties on such technology will go far since countries don't want to retard their technical advancements in the military arena.
