This discussion is very brightly illustrated by these two men. The concepts are so distant from what is commonly embraced as Christianity....and so many here who consider themselves forward thinking.

I am renewed by these discussions and I'm happy someone else here finds them useful.

This is what resistance is.

These two don't carry water for the oppressor. They are addressing the phony liberalism that paralyzed the left....

I really enjoyed the brilliant dialogue presented. The issues are not just for a college debate. The reality of collusion between the drug companies doctors and Mexican drug cartels in the heroin trade opiate trade are simple Direct and catastrophic. With legalization of weed the primary interest I hear about drugs, where is the outrage for the poor response to the collusion I refer to. In my area doctors prescribing suboxone have to be paid in cash and refused to take Medicaid. Are these doctors audited? The majority of drugs in my area are distributed by Mexicans. Is the Latino community willing to self- police? Most of the people I deal with addicted to heroin start off being addicted to opiates as teenagers. Where is the pressure to bear on the drug companies. I wish there was a plain speaking liberal that would discuss these issues in plain speak like some of the dreaded conservative radio DJs get their message across.

They address it all. What you address it part of it...we need a revolution, political and social.

Thanks for your comment.

And, as far as the "War on Drugs" was going in 2011, nothing much but this.... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-morgan/obama-medical-marijuana_b_857852.html

Looks like we have a few more things to discuss, and that would be a good idea.

Hedges has not credibility whatsoever left, cashing Kremlin checks to go on Putin TV & smear the USA. Embarrassing.

West--as others have said:
"classic projection of his own comfortably ensconced life at Harvard and Princeton Universities"... West "offers thin criticism of president Obama and stunning insight into the delicate ego of the self-appointed black leadership class"
