(21,780 posts)Trump is proving to be a master of exploiting fear. You may categorize societal fear into five groups.
Fear of the rulers. Trump exploits this by attacking the "elites", such as the mainstream media, the corrupt Republican establishment, the "Muslim Kenyan President" supported by Democrats, the uber-rich money men who control politicians.
Fear of the underclass. He attacks the blacks, the Latinos, the immigrants, the lazy "takers" who live off of our tax dollars.
Fear of the others. The Muslims, foreigners, the different religious faiths.
Fear of change. The feminists, women and minorities in power, economic chaos.
Fear of new knowledge. Climate change, medical breakthroughs, scientific paradigms being overthrown.
