Empire Files: Fmr. Bush Official says the Empire's Ship is Sinking
Published on Dec 11, 2015
Colin Powell's former Chief of Staff says Pentagon is the Problem and it Rules our Presidents more than Congress or the American People (Voters).
Abby Martin interviews retired U.S. Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former national security advisor to the Reagan administration, who spent years as an assistant to Secretary of State Colin Powell during both Bush administrations. Today, he is honest about the unfixable corruption inside the establishment and the corporate interests driving foreign policy.
Hear a rare insider's view of what interests are behind U.S. wars, the manipulation of intelligence, the intertwining of the military and corporate world, and why the U.S. Empire is doomed. http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/the...

(34,661 posts)Amazing how many in this Country do not have a clue as to who what and why. Mr. Sanders is pushing back at these people and you are seeing first hand how the Powerful are reacting. If one wants to see evidence of their power, did anyone who campaigned against the MIC ever win? Not.

(2,412 posts)Yes, Patraeus was running his own private war over there. He had office space for his Neocon friends and Florida Iran-Contra gun running friends over there. Obama was irrelevant. The Pentagon IS running our foreign policy. This is truly frightening. I wish that
Colin Powell would tell more loud and clear.

(2,943 posts)Here is a graphic of the Fiscal Years of 2014, 2015, and 2016 for the cost of recruiting and training:
In the report, the US Army needs to recruit 60,000 personal for the Fiscal Year of 2016. Add a new war in Syria or anywhere else, that number will go up in 2016.
