Ron Paul Fest 2012 and Birther-ish Romney

Can Ron Paul supporters out draw Mitt Romney’s Republican Convention? So long as they find a way to make a discussion of monetary policy more interesting than Mitt Romney. In other words - yes.

Question: Will PaulFest out draw the Republican National Convention?

Any alleged economic discussion at the GOP by them convention will be rants about deficits, the need to privatize everything 'for liberty' and to 'enshrine freedom' by being free of the IRS and get rid of the Federal Reserve.

Eventually to devolve into calls for buying gold, silver, ammo, freeze dried food and at last gasp, the 'NWO' and so on. They might as well invite their favorite speakers from World Nut Daily and Prison Planet to round out their platform.

How else does one explain all of this bought-and-paid for craziness?

And why would Trump's presence and comments be considered a headache for Romney? They're two of a kind: deflecting from real issues, finger pointing to take attention away from their own shortcomings, etc. Despite his quarter-billionaire status, Romney is bought and paid for.
