Note from The Gorilla Foundation : This video was made with footage of Koko reacting after she has been informed about what is at stake at COP21. After being familiarized with the issues, she was allowed to improvise. The video has been edited for brevity and continuity.

I love Koko, I hope this gets around more, she is a sage of her species, and she's talkin' to us!

I'm definitely a Koko fan, and a believer in her ability to understand and communicate through sign language, and this is such a poignant message.

It would be nice to see the raw footage, too.
