Space commander makes David Bowie tribute on International Space Station

OUTER SPACE — Commander Chris Hadfield, like millions of other people, was saddened by the news of David Bowie’s death.

Hadfield, an astronaut with the Canadian Space Agency, recorded a revised version of Bowie’s song “Space Oddity” while on the International Space Station.

The song was recorded in 2013, but has resurfaced since the icon’s death.

“David Bowie, thank you for inspiring people on and off Earth. Rest in peace. In honor, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Chris Hadfield’s rendition of Space Oddity performed aboard the International Space Station.”
