(14,449 posts)I hate that smirk he gives. Reminds me of Cheney. He cannot get close to the White House.

(1,178 posts)Cruz is possibly the most dangerous serious candidate for the presidency that this country has ever had. Cheney's policies were rooted in greed, meanness, disdain and just generally being an ass, but I don't believe he considers himself the Messiah. Cruz, on the other hand, has all the characteristics of Cheney plus extreme religious zealotry. His father thinks he's The Annointed One and Cruz is showing all signs of actually believing that. This man should NEVER be left alone near the nuclear launch codes or Dr. Strangelove will become the most famous documentary movie of all times.

(22,670 posts)Replublis do everything possible to degrade Democratic successes, then cherry pick stats that favor their argument, in the hopes that enough dumb voters will say, "hey, he's right! Kick the Democrats out!" Then we get dunces like Cruz elected, replacing Democrats in congress. All to disastrous results, instead of kicking the Republis out and getting a functioning government that betters the people they represent.
They're good at getting elected, but not good at governing. Why people fall for this same old dog and pony road show, I have no idea. Cool-aid, I suppose.

(728 posts)If that is ever allowed, the state with the lowest regulations will be where all the insurance companies will set up shop. The consumer would suffer greatly under such a scheme. They always want to make it possible to take your money without actually ever having to provide coverage.
