HILARIOUS! Christie Calls Out Rubio Half Way Through His Canned Line...BUT HE CAN'T STOP!

Last edited Sun Feb 7, 2016, 07:51 AM - Edit history (1)

I'm not a fan of Christie, but boy did he ever manage to derail Marco Rubio's apple cart. Just about everybody knows that Rubio has all of his lines memorized. Chris Matthews put it best when he said that Rubio is acting like he's already one of those automatons in the Hall of Presidents at Disney Land, reciting parts of his most famous speeches at the push of a button.

But I don't think anybody ever realized just how BADLY Rubio is dependent on his canned lines. Watch this! He delivers his canned line about "Barack Obama knows exactly what he's doing...." Then Christie calls him on the canned line. Then Rubio repeats it a second time, and Christie literally calls him on it WHILE HE'S DOING IT, and he CAN'T STOP! He actually delivers it a THIRD time. The guy doesn't have a single original thought in his entire head!

The only thing I could think of was that Matt Foley Motivational Speaker skit that Chris Farley used to do. How Matt Foley would always hit the kids with "You won't think it's so great when you're living on a steady diet of government surplus cheese, and livin' in a van down by the river!"

Then, finally he asks one of the kids: "What do you want to do with your life?" And the kid answers "I want to live in a van down by the river." And Matt Foley answers "Well, you won't think that's so great when you're eating a steady diet of government cheese, and....and....AND LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!"

PS--Here's a longer version, starting from the FIRST time he repeated the memorized speech. Four times in six minutes he delivered the same talking points. The first three times, he repeated it almost verbatim. What a bozo.

Chris Christie is making me like him. How could that happen?

This despite his failure to make any sense. He said the president has to get the snow plowed and keep the schools open. Really?

Hitting Christie on the 2016 snowstorm is one thing, but he should have hit him for the 2010 snowstorm, too. That one was even more ridiculous. New Jersey was buried under 10 feet of snow, and Christie refused to come back from Disney World.

Sometimes a bully can come in handy.

Looks like he ran into the early stages of melt down when he rewound back to the beginning of the meme loop!

Kept thinking Max Headroom.

Christie IS a bully and hard to like (for me). He was just what was needed with the pre-programmed and empty Rubio, in this case. Seems Rubio's considered by his backers as: minority (but upper level) Hispanic. Good looking and NOT smarmy (a word making a comeback due to Ted) like Cruz. He is so constantly out of his league that it's past time for him to withdraw.

He would stumble around until his mind locked on to the "programmed answer," which he would deliver with certainty and smugness.

They (Bush's handlers) never explained what the "box" was underneath the back of his jacket during one of the debates:

I think they were feeding him answers via radio. It would have been great to have scanned for the frequency and then fed him different things to say.

Rubio is like Bush, only he's using an MP3 player rather than a box.

if he knew what the President of Pakistan's name was, and he answered "General." Then the reporter told him "no, actually his name is Musharraf. Can you tell me what his FIRST name is?" Bush: "GENERAL!"

Then the reporter asked: "Can you name the President of Uzbekistan?" And Bush answered: "No, can YOU!?"

But Rubio.....man, he's in a class all by himself. Just memorizing shit. I'm going to start calling him MYNAH BIRD MARCO.

Seriously these people are the worst excuses for candidates I've ever seen...
I think Rubio is living proof we need to become humble enough to learn from our European allies.. We could start by bringing in a couple more political parties...

11. Repeated It When It Was Not Even About Obama

Yes, that clip show how unprepared Marco Rubio is to be President. He repeated the line about President Obama knowing exactly what he is doing to America when Chris Christie was not even talking about President Obama. Christie was explaining how the governorship is different the Senate, but Rubio does not try to make an argument for how being a Senator can prepare one for the Presidency; he repeats the line about President Obama knowing exactly what he is doing to America.
