(34,403 posts)At least in Michigan it is. What a piece of shit Romney is. The more that's coming out about him, the more he's looking like an out and out socio/psychopath. I can't imagine what he'd do if he was allowed to hold sway over the CIA, FBI & the Pentagon.

(3,334 posts)I have a friend who was recently involved as a policeman in a case involving someone who impersonated a cop. The guy was fined some 7,000 Euro. This is a serious incident.

(1,412 posts)into a closed door. He would probably cut the provisions of the ADA as well with his disgusting mindset.
We must keep him far away from the White House. I hate to imagine the kind of havoc he would inflict on the world with the kind of power he would have as POTUS.
snip:
Teachers were also the butt of Romneys brand of humor?
One venerable English teacher, Carl G. Wonnberger, nicknamed the Bat for his diminished eyesight, was known to walk into the trophy case and apologize, step into wastepaper baskets and stare blindly as students slipped out the back of the room to smoke by the open windows. Once, several students remembered the time pranksters propped up the back axle of Wonnbergers Volkswagen Beetle with two-by-fours and watched, laughing from the windows, as the unwitting teacher slammed the gas pedal with his wheels spinning in the air.
As an underclassman, Romney accompanied Wonnberger and Pierce Getsinger, another student, from the second floor of the main academic building to the library to retrieve a book the two boys needed. According to Getsinger, Romney opened a first set of doors for Wonnberger, but then at the next set, with other students around, he swept his hand forward, bidding the teacher into a closed door. Wonnberger walked right into it and Getsinger said Romney giggled hysterically as the teacher shrugged it off as another of lifes indignities.

(1,412 posts)You seem to have forgotten the part where he purposely ran him into a door. It is the totality of his cruel, insensitive behavior, that makes me believe that Romney is a complete douche.

(257 posts)The story says Romney WALKED the teacher right into a door...

(34,582 posts)I was responding to. The same teacher who Romney ran into a door (due to his extremely poor eyesight) had his rear axle blocked up.

By the way, I'm not really a lawyer. I just thought it would be fun to impersonate one on this thread.

(70,516 posts)From Wiki:
Police impersonation is an act of falsely portraying oneself as a member of the police, for the purpose of deception. In the vast majority of countries the practice is illegal and carries a custodial sentence.
Impersonating a police officer is sometimes committed in order to assert police-like authority in order to commit a crime. Posing as a police officer enables the offender to legitimize the appearance of an illegal act, such as: burglary, making a traffic stop, or detaining.
Dressing up as a police officer in costume, or pretending to be a police officer for the purpose of play or a harmless prank toward an acquaintance is generally not considered a crime, provided that those involved recognize the imposter is not a real police officer, and the imposter is not trying to deceive those involved into thinking he/she is.
The following impersonations class as the offence:
Verbal identification: The imposter announces to the unsuspecting victim that they are a police officer.
Fake Badge or Warrant card: The imposter, though not in any special clothes, displays a police-like badge or identification card to the victim. Sometimes a real police officer will not even be able to differentiate between the real and fake badge, as some duplicates are very, if not exactly alike.
Fake uniform: The imposter wears a uniform that looks very much like that of a police officer.
Fake vehicle: The imposter places lights, decals, or other equipment on a personal vehicle to disguise it as a police car and enable the offender to make arrests or traffic stops.

(16,230 posts)Now Obama, mind you, in his younger years was - horror of horrors - an evil community organizer!
All Mitt did was participate in some college boys-will-be-boys hijinks like impersonating a police officer and assaulting other students with scissors.

(1,981 posts)And they can't all be dismissed. Don't Republicans always insist on "character" as the main criteria for leadership?
Funny how they then always manage to nominate the worst characters they can find.

The real people in power need a front man.
Sociopaths like Romney are promoted to management because they don't have a conscience or empathy.
Rmoney is perfectly willing to cause suffering, for the sake of bolstering his keepers coffers.

(2,307 posts)If I had dirt on my college roommate who was running for governor of another state, I might not tell for fear of the revenge he may take on me.
I might stay silent during the primaries because he wasn't, isn't the first choice of the people but the corporate machine saw to his being the nominee.
Now he might be president. I now have skin in the game.
Remember, Romney is known to be a evil person doing whatever needed to serve his purpose, and he certainly has the money to make it happen.
I said I might. I don't know. I think that is one of those things which until you are in the situation you don't know what you would do.
DaveJ
(5,023 posts)The media probably doesn't care much about a tidbit from a governor's past, but now his roommates are being hounded relentlessly be the worldwide media.
And there might be interview/money opportunities too, not to say they could just make it up, but they actually have incentive to reveal the facts now.

Cheney wanted to show us how really bad he was. he was just a big batch of potato salad that was in the sun too long.
Mitts is just totally bonkers. Sometimes I like to watch him go on, but then I realize how that bad that is. His mind is not in gear.

He had/has no NEEEEEED for power to survive or provide the necessities of life. That's why this is power for power's sake ALONE. This is also why the guy has been moving all over the place on every issue. He's driven by the desire for power for power's sake alone, so he will do/say A - N - Y - T - H - I - N - G - for - A - N - Y - O - N - E to get more power.
Consider his FOREIGN FINANCIAL entanglements and those of those who back him. A vote for Romney is a vote to sell the U.S. Military down the river into WAR SLAVERY and, hence, strongly increasing reliance on NUCLEAR WEAPONS, the BIGGEST POWER there is.

(2,166 posts)What about the people who were pulled over? I'd LOVE to hear what happened, if he really did what he bragged about. I have suspicions that he was all talk because this kind of person usually needs a gang to be so brazen.
In addition, as a woman, the first thing that went to my mind upon reading this was - rapist.

(21,925 posts)I'd love to see the mug shot from that booking if it hasn't been sanitized by political operatives. Apparently Romney disobeyed an officer and put his family boat into the water even though his license wasn't in order. Later, Romney threatened to sue the arresting officer and badgered him.
He seems to have a weird relationship with the police and authority.

There was that one guy that was "thinking" about it, but haven't heard from him. Apparently, all the money in the world can't buy you one freakin' friend to help elect you to the highest office in our nation. Gives me hope for humanity.
is a fringe creepo even to sociopathic republican party. I'm sure that the repukes new these facts, that's why they have their doubts about him. The more people dig into Willards background, the more creeped out people will be. Keep diggin' folks, the public needs to know this stuff.

I just had this terrible thought. What if Mitt get's elected and we find out that he's a serial Killer.

(29,381 posts)but their guise of fairness will of course be used to let this nut job skate... just as they have been doing since Reagan. Corporate media is corporate... those who deregulate for corporations are part of their interests. This country is completely corrupt and becoming more of a failure by the day.

(5,562 posts)it didn't make any difference. Dubya was also an inarticulate drunk and a deserter and that didn't make any difference either. They have pots of money. They have lots friends in very high places. Corporate media covers up their "indiscretions" easily by simply failing to report them and the uninformed majority never find out.
