(26,268 posts)I'm surprised he was around as long as he was. Question now is, what will Clarence Thomas do? It would be great if he would retire, now that his BFF is gone.

(5,668 posts)that one was a bit of a shocker but then again thats Ruth more than Scalia. Mom is more like Ruth I have a hard time dealing with such people, but opinions are opinions..Still however the fact he was involved in our countries darkest hour in 2000 can't imagine.. then on CBSN (roku raspberry Pi. ) goes on and one about abortion. yeah so. if you were Conservative in 1973 it was about saving lives. not the distortion it's been made out to be now.

(7,754 posts)Think what happens next. The republican controlled senate will reject any and all nominations from Obama. Based on past behavior they'll stall until the election in the hopes they get the white house back again.
Hope I'm wrong, but afraid I'm right.

I immediately began to hum that song!
Brilliant minds, I tell ya.
Wish I could remember the coroner's phrase as well, something along the line of "...she's most sincerely dead."

(2,672 posts)He fucking gave us bush with his wars and blundering policies.
I never celebrate anyone's death and may he RIP, but let me put it this way, I'm glad that he's gone. He leaves us in terrible shape because of his ultra right-wing decisions. He caused and is continuing to cause misery to tens of millions of people.

(9,020 posts)and I say, screw them, the first thing the wife and I did when we heard the news was danced a little jig and hugged. And laughed.
He left quite a mark on the Court. A fat, greasy spot.

(4,552 posts)I strongly disagree with Scalia and his entire body of work.
I also strongly disagree with the reaction on this forum.
I really thought we had more class.
