Wasn't it about slavery and something about the federal government having power over the states? Cruz, et al., want to go back to a confederacy, where each state is its own independent entity. Except for Social Security, of course. Keep the federal government out of my Social Security!

its rightful owners, I think we all know who that truly is, and it's not the citizens of Nevada. It just sounds so stupid and insensitive to say "rightful owners." But honestly, I think his campaign does that on purpose, to thumb their nose at the Native American tribes of Nevada and throughout west where the Koch political machine has decided to make this a signature issue. And the people like the Bundys and others are nothing more than pawns of a much bigger chess match by big business, in an attempt to wrestle control of federal land away federal government in several western states. It's much easier to manipulate state and local governments, than it is the federal govenrment, which is why they want state control of the land. I'm sure most likely for natural resources and "for profit" land development.

The rightful owners, in his warped view, are not the native peoples of the Nation of Mexico who threw off the European Catholics Royals and liberated the largest country in the Americas at the time from slavery, no in his warped mind it belongs to the white slave owners who wanted to overthrow the Native Mexica regime and restore European dominance and slavery. In other words, he wants to give it to people with the same skin color as God's skin, while denying his own Native heritage.

Cruz was born on Canadian soil without benefit of military or US Government ties. Per Tribe, Founders would not find him a 'natural-born" which they described as born American through and through. He was born Canadian through and through. Do our laws and Constitution mean anything any more?
