We very much appreciate what can only be called reverse lend-lease. You have more than paid back the WWII lend-lease with him alone. That is why you are such a great ally.

Now, can we send you Donald Trump in return? How about Ted Cruz (after all he was born in the Commonwealth)?

Pretty please?

I didn't think so. At least I tried.

Rendered by the glorious Bonzo Dog band, also from the UK.

And let us not forget, looking very relaxed, Adolph Hitler on vibes:

Obviously I am rather severely culturally disadvantaged.

One of my old friends went to a BD concert in Toronto. He said that they did all their music live, with full orchestration. Brilliant.

Vivian Stanshall was the center. Sadly gone.

BTW, did you know that Viv was the voice on the Tubular Bells piece, from "The Exorcist"? (Not the one in the movie, but the popular record.)

I take it you're aware of Sir Henry at Rawlingson End. It's well worth a listen, very funny.

Who could have predicted that this thread would go so far afield. Those poor click-throughs. They didn't know what Hell they were plunging to.

Bonzo Dog Hell! Once one goes there, there is no coming back. Give up hope, etc. the thread Jack literally from Hell.

You done my brain in, right in.

I tip my hat. Always!

However, I cannot account for your very poor taste in knowing about the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. That is showing universally very poor taste.

Live with it, my friend. Sadly, I will have to do so as well.

My best.

And don't forget. It takes two (oops three!) weeks to launder the shirt at the 59 Minute Cleaners. It's just the name of the shop, Love. (Corrected.)

Yup! It's Keynsham.

Enjoy, my good friend. (We Bonzo Dog fans have to stick together. We are a rather rare breed.)

The Bonzos are the only band to play on a Beatles film other than the Beatles themselves. They're the Cabaret in Magical Mystery Tour.

Neil Innes had a brilliant cameo in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
