The point is that in order to remain competitive, it is Hillary who has been forced to adopt positions closer to those of Sanders. Sanders, meanwhile, has stayed exactly where he has always been. That tells you something about which candidate's positions are resonating with voters, even if many voters are reluctant to support Sanders over fears of electability.

My only quibble -- and it's a small one -- is with saying that Bernie supporters should applaud Hillary's tack to the left. As a Bernie supporter, I didn't decide to support Bernie because I wanted a more liberal Hillary Clinton, but because I want Bernie Sanders!

I think he's just trying to sound diplomatic. No way in hell is any leftward talk from her anything other but counterfeit. Really though, I've not heard any leftward "tack" of any sort; just more doubling down on the "I got this" attitude.

I've not believed these liars promises for a long time, regardless of which party produces them. It's part of that "politics" Hartmann was chuckling about earlier. They'll say whatever they have to say.

OTOH, Sanders has be a practicing purveyor of democracy in his actions both during his successful runs for office, and then, ONCE IN THOSE POSITIONS OF PUBLIC SERVICES.
