him elaborate more on how he's going to deal with an obstructionist
Congress in the short term as president. I do understand that he is
going to need the people at the ready to have his back, but Obama
was even more popular than him and couldn't break the deadlock.
So I'd like him to answer more fully on HOW he will accomplish his
goals with the current Congress.

that when Obama was elected he stated "I'll take it from here." Bernie said he would not make that mistake, he would need the people's help in demanding congress take proper action.

Besides, we don't know for sure now what the next congress will look like. Hopefully regain some House seats and retake the Senate.

Much like FDR did, the "fireside chats" were imperative to getting his message out so the common American would be informed and could be an active participant in government decisions.

Changing Congress from "obstructionist party" to "progressive party" is a necessary step. We should be focusing more on Senate and House races to retake control from obstructionists and rid both houses of teabagger buffoons. It looks like we will likely win The Senate back, but we should focus on winning the House as well. DWS is worthless, and we need someone who will focus on each and every potential winnable race to get us focused and working toward getting a Congress that puts the country first. We need to also be working on state and local government control as well.

It's a tall order, but nobody said it had to be easy to get done. Otherwise, we are looking at four more years of obstruction, dependent on constituents pounding on doors, emailing legislators and demonstrating for change. That's an even taller order.

The point that ppl are not understanding about BERNIE is that , not HILLARY nor any of the GOP are ever going to try to change things as they are now, they just repeat youll never get it done. BERNIE is actually going to take on these issues and fight till the day he dies to change these issues hes talking about, instead of just giving in to the big banks and powers that be , because he actuallt believes in it, not just going around talking points like hillary and not do nothing. BERNIE knows it wont be easy and is saying we have to help. BUT HILLARYS argument is as long as the sun in the sky is burning ,which will be about another 4 billion years, we shouldnt upset big banks and bussiness to give american tax payers health care and education because its set up for profit instead of for the ppls interest.LETS JUST KEEP LETTING PPL GET SCREWED I GET MY MONEY AND POWER PISS ON EVERYONE ELSE. BERNIE is completely right it has not and will not change unless some one is willing to take on that fight, and he is . why as ppl should we accept anything less for our president. HILLARY wants to talk good game and leave everything as is bullshit. If there is tax dollars for bank and auto bail outs, and endless wars from our ppl then THE GREEDY RICH CAN QUIT THE HEALTHCARE AND COLLEGE FOR PROFIT SYSTEM THEY RUN ,AND EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN AND HEALTHCARE FOR PPL IT IS AMAZING THAT IN THE YEAR 2016 WE AS PPL ARE CONSIDERING A PRESIDENT FOR THE PPL THAT IS OPPOSED TO THIS, WEVE BEEN BEAT DOWN AND RAISED TO BELIEVE ITS A PRIVLAGE TO GET AND EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE IN THIS COUNTRY. HILLARY AND THE GOP WILL JUST CONTINE TO SIPHON OFF OF THE AMERICAN PPL WITHOUT ANY REGARD FOR US ,AS SHE HAS ALREADY ADMITTED SHES NOT WILLING TO FIGHT FOR US BECAUSE ITLL BE TOO HARD TO DO. SO ITS TIME TO GIVE OUR KIDS A SHOT AT A REAL FUTURE AND ITS BEEN PROVEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN THESE OTHER POLITICIANS WILL NOT GIVE THEM THAT OPPURTUNITY. WHY ARE WE SO BLIND TO REALITY.

Clearly you have something to say, so let me give a some recommendations: Your comment is a solid block of text right now. Use of paragraphs and line breaks will help make your comment readable...and more likely to garner a reply. Also, if you're trying to emphasize something, highlighting the section, and making it bold tends to be more accepted versus all caps typing.

These recommendations would go a long way toward helping your message get heard.

Bernie will stand the assinine obstructionist Republicans down.

Bernie will take the moral high ground, encircle himself with the support of the American people, and put the Republicans in their places resoundingly, politely and with the righteous might that a person who speaks the truth and who speaks for fairness has in the face of evil.

Bernie will bring courage, fearlessness and determination to the debate.

Bernie will not be worried about angering donors. He will go for the high road.

Bernie was obviously raised on the story of David and Goliath.

Bernie is intellectually and morally fearless.

Fearlessness is the strongest weapon in a fight in our Congress and in our politics.

I was amazed in this interview with just how strong and in your face Bernie is.

It's about time a Democrat spoke with that strength, purity and honesty to the Republican cheats.

Bernie's handling of this interview gave me confidence that he can handle Putin, the North Koreans, ISIS, any nation or leader that wants trouble. Bernie was direct, pointed out the morally correct way to deal with each issue. That's the way you win. That's the way you get things done.

My husband adds that had anyone dealt with Hitler like that, it (the history of that time) would be a different picture.

Bernie is the strongest candidate in terms of moral rectitude and fighting for the right in politics that is running in this campaign. Strongest in my lifetime in fact.

I have read comments from Bernie and Hillary supporters that get really defensive about their candidates being picked on by reporters. Well, last night I saw Bernie not only hold his own, but showing me that he can fight heavy duty push back such as Matthews was throwing at him.

If it is Trump or Hillary, or whomever it is that Bernie is debating, he will be tough and fight the fight for the people who really need a fighter right now. We cannot be all wimpy and rave at the commentators who throw "hardball" questions at Bernie, he can take it. The commentators have their own a agenda they obviously are well paid for.

I can't stand him.

Why interview anyone? Just make a speech or bless us with your "wonderful" analysis which is about as useful as the dog crap you accidentally stepped in. How he has a show is beyond me besides connections he must have that keep propping him up. The only good thing about him being on the air is that he's not running for political office. He's really unwatchable.
