So some things are true but he doesn't read the news....I guess that's what his people are supposed to believe. Good grief.

(16,296 posts)He just said - a few days ago - Donald was two people. And then the Don himself confirms it.
I love that , "I've said a lot of things". Could you imagine him as President, "I've pushed a lot of buttons"

(16,423 posts)- Why is the chinese economy cooling down?
- Where is China investing abroad?
- What is the historical relationship between China and Taiwan?
- Name 2 muslim countries that aren't in the Middle-East.
- Who are the two principal middle-eastern power-blocks vying for control over the Middle-East?
- What is the historical reason for Iran's hatred towards the US? What event and approximately in which decade did it happen?
- Name a few countries that employ social-democratic policies.
- In how many countries is the US-military currently involved in combat-missions?
- Name some regions that are negatively affected by climate-change and how will this influence the geopolitical situation?
tclambert
(11,087 posts)Obviously a trick question. Donald's answer would be, "None. Climate change is all a big hoax."
That was fun. Let me try another. "In how many countries is the US-military currently involved in combat-missions?" Donald's answer: "Not enough. We need to get in there. Show them who's boss. That's me, by the way. Kill their families. Kill their friends."
The first three about China would all have the same answer: "Hey, when it comes to China, I'm an expert, let me tell ya. I've had many dealings with China. Many, many. And I made good deals, great deals. The Chinese know me, like me--they all like me over there. So when it comes to China, I know what I'm doing. I've visited their capital, Tokyo, many times. Many, many times."
"Name 2 muslim countries that aren't in the Middle-East." A: "England and France."
"Who are the two principal middle-eastern power-blocks vying for control over the Middle-East?" A: "Exxon and Chevron." (Actually, that one might be close to right.)

(11,519 posts)I've been a Bernie supporter from the time he announced, and I'll certainly be disappointed if he's not the nominee. But the reality is that elections require one to make a choice as to which one candidate out of two or three best represent your values. I will have zero problem acknowledging that Hillary is by far a better choice than T-rump.
lark
(23,105 posts)I feel exactly the same way. I voted for Bernie in FL, my whole family voted for Bernie but the teabags won this round. I will vote for HRC and even donate to her to prevent our total conversion to fascism ala Drumpf.
I would much rather live in a country guided by the principles that Bernie Sanders believes in than those that Hillary Clinton believes in, but if it comes down to Clinton Vs Trump on Election Day, I will pull the lever for her without a nanosecond's hesitation.
Yeah, I know no one pulls levers any more, but saying that I'll fill in the oval for her just doesn't sounds as good.

(6,819 posts)When Trump was pushed to name a person that Trump respects on foreign relations, the only name he could come up was Richard Haaas. That actually was a good answer, but Trump has only met with him for a total of one hour. Haaas works for the Council on Foreign Relations, and as a public service they offer to provide international relations briefings to all Presidential candidates. Haas has met with several candidates.
However, a single one hour briefing doesn't show much interest in really understanding international relations.
Haaas said the only other times he has crossed paths with Trump was on golf courses.
