Leading this country to peace, not leading us into war.

(13,297 posts)... and how sad that there is this feeling that going against the Clintons can be seen as something which could literally be dangerous to one's career, or cause retribution, or that people feel inclined to warn others -- yes, enough so that the reporter felt the question was something clearly in need of addressing, like this is somehow commonplace.
How awful is that when we have come to accept this as a part of the equation. So, so sad. Does anyone for a single moment, even in the most remotest of thoughts, think that Bernie is somehow plotting how to get back at anyone who did not support him or show him an iota of support?
Who is the real soul of the Democratic Party going forward?

(608 posts)Bernie is 74 and he is running now because (I think) he feels the country needs him so badly.
We need to identify people who can continue Bernie's message into future national, state, and local elections. And Tulsi certainly is one who can.

(12,882 posts)and as has already been said, a breath of fresh air for us on the left. Tulsi obviously felt as many of us here do - that the (D) doesn't seem to fit so good anymore. The (D) outfit has been hijacked by monied interests - and sadly is being driven towards the same failed goals that are unraveling the what remains of the GOP of late. Geez.... I wonder what the (D)'s fate will be???
