(12,165 posts)Millenials are the largest group in the US labor market and are projected to be half of the global labor force by 2020. They are the most diverse, educated and ambitious generation America has ever seen.
About half of millenials are democrats or lean democratic. Thirty-four percent lean toward the GOP.
Is your premise that millenials won't recognize the stark difference between the democratic and republican candidates come November and sit out the election should it not be Bernie?
I guess I give this highly educated generation more credit than Thom Hartmann does. They're not lost at all.

(5,621 posts)You have to be in the professional class to have any pull in the Democratic Party. Working class has been taken for granted, as in "where are they going to go". Those Democrats who have theirs, I don't think knows what the hell is going on in the street. Millennials have huge school debt and see very few jobs available. They see only 2 choices, either elect Bernie or elect a Republican and let the US fail so we can start over again.
Check out this video to see why.

."lost" as in "confused" and "don't know what to think" or "uneducated". He means lost as in "screwed". "Abandoned".
They are faced with giant student debt.
The environment they live in may be too late to save in many ways.
They will have a lower standard of living and less income than their parents, first time in American history.
They may have to survive as temps, uber drivers etc with no job security.
They face a terrorist landscape created in large part by neo-con policies in foreign affairs.
And income disparity is wider than ever.
That's a "lost" generation and the education and intelligence you attribute to them is making them analyze their situation and the result is turning them to Bernie.

A Hillary Clinton candidacy will just confirm that the disgust wasn't misplaced after all.
