(36,649 posts)We not only need to keep the Presidency - we need to take back the House and the Senate, along with most of the Governorships and State Houses.
Sanders supporters should be able to name literally hundreds of candidates, at every level of government. But instead, they can't name more than a literal handful.
It's a funny revolution that has only one revolutionary with power.

(3,186 posts)Hey, it's a start. And a pretty good one in my opinion, considering that we're only 1 year into this campaign.

OTOH, there are 7968 elective offices in the US in legislative and executive roles at the federal and state level. 250 vs almost 8000 is no revolution.
And, we're only one year into BERNIE'S campaign. For this supposed revolution to have any effect whatsoever, it has to encompass more than one guy & more than one race. Bernie's been in Washington for 30 years. What the fuck has he been doing all that time? And what do you think is going to happen when he loses? Is he doing anything to build an infrastructure to allow it to continue? Are there other objectives, aside from Bernie for President?
The answer, of course is "no" and "no". There is no revolution. It's a con job. Which is really sad, because we need real progressive leadership to be able to address these issues, and leaders to get progressive policies passed into law.
Thankfully we have Hillary running, too.
It's a lot better than the alternative. I wish I were prepared to run. Would love to be part of this revolution. Hope there are many others out there to join him in running for office.
