How Hillary Clinton's State Department Sold Fracking to the World
A trove of secret documents details the US government's global push for shale gas.
—Mariah Blake | September/October 2014 Issue

~excerpt~

Under her leadership, the State Department worked closely with energy companies to spread fracking around the globe—part of a broader push to fight climate change, boost global energy supply, and undercut the power of adversaries such as Russia that use their energy resources as a cudgel. But environmental groups fear that exporting fracking, which has been linked to drinking-water contamination and earthquakes at home, could wreak havoc in countries with scant environmental regulation. And according to interviews, diplomatic cables, and other documents obtained by Mother Jones, American officials—some with deep ties to industry—also helped US firms clinch potentially lucrative shale concessions overseas, raising troubling questions about whose interests the program actually serves.

are with Bernie. Why on earth would she toss more of them his way by insinuating that they don't do their own research? Is it not research if they don't use the sources provided by the Clinton campaign? God what a dumb move. I do not understand her. It would have been much better just to not mention that but she just had to.

Tossing whatever younger voting block she may have doesn't make sense to me.

but then the party conservatives have never seemed like they minded losing elections as long as their cash flows are positive.

For the good of the country, though, SHUT UP Hillary, just SHUT UP about Sanders supporters. Thank you.

We can't survive another Republican presidency.

to the throne and everyone needs to toe the line. And I agree that the Conservatives will take our money one way or the other if it's Clinton vs the Republicon.

Sometimes I actually start to think this woman has no clue what happens on planet earth. Other times I think she knows exactly.

Either way, she uses her ignorance or her obsession with lying solely to promote herself..

7. WATER IS LIFE. One fracking leak could destroy the most precious resource in Colorado.

We already have water wars in Colorado between farmers, citizens, other states downriver and energy companies (fracking).

So yeah, we've done our research, NO MATTER WHAT AGE WE ARE.

Fracking is an irresponsible practice, by any measure, for any reason.

Lies? Yes, she'll tell them, if it means she can demonstrate authority when ANYONE (especially the young voter with their future in the balance) speaks their truth to her perceived power-base.

She has been against fossil fuels? Then how come she pushed countries all over the world to fracking?
Not done their research? What the hell does she mean? Perhaps she means that they didn't do research that favors her that they are wrong, by not falling for the third way propaganda machine?

Sheesh!

I feel sorry for Clinton supporters who actually think that she will make good on any of her promises. She has lied in the past, she lies today, she shall lie in the future. But some folks just don't get it.
