Google reagan imposes stiff tariff motorcycles

"Hog" is slang for Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Reagan slapped a tariff on Japanese motorcycles with engines 750cc and up. Since the smallest H-D engine was (is? I don't keep up.) 883cc, this tariff protected H-D motorcycles exclusively.

By saying "hog," SP is letting us know that she is one of the cool kids.

Full disclosure: if you could see how I'm dressed, you'd know I'm not one of the cool kids. Actually, there are several ways you'd be able to figure that out.

as they were built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and York, Pennsylvania. I don't know if the York plant was running at the time of the tariff imposition.

The tariffs applied only to motorcycles made overseas, Japanese bikes certainly, and probably Italian and German bikes too. It's been a few years.

but then, with all that cash she could get it anywhere, she has that private jet to transport. But she probably has her own lab in the basement.
