If not, perhaps I should take what you say with a grain of salt.

Anyway, might be nice change not to have someone so into fanning conflicts. MAttSh here writes a bit about what it is like in the Ukraine after her minions did their work. No fun, for what was a pretty nice place.

Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University professor who is presenting at the event, said in a phone interview that he helped the Vatican reach out to Bernie Sanders in March, and he doesn’t know why Archer alleged that the Sanders campaign initiated the gig. “The academy sent the invitation, it’s pure and simple,” he said. “A lot of people in the Vatican respect him a lot. He is speaking in the same kind of moral themes that Pope Francis, and the social teachings of the Church, promote, which is a moral economy.” A representative who works with Sachs also passed along an official invitation from Sanchez Sorondo to Sanders dated on March 30. But even though the invite appeared to come from an official Church body, that doesn’t mean it came from Pope Francis, and a spokesperson for the Vatican said it hasn’t been confirmed whether the senator and the pontiff will have a sit-down in Rome.

The invitation is secured on the 30th and Sachs is on national TV bashing Hillary Clinton on the 31st

he has exposed himself as having politicized the Academy of Social Sciences' event. This is what Archer objected to, probably well aware of where and how Dr. Sachs' sympathies rest.

The time line is clear, as is the key player.

What is unique is that he is a foreign policy advisor to Bernie Sanders and was a scheduled presenter at the Vatican event when he lobbied for an invitation for Bernie.

9/11 was planned by Bin Laden and his cohorts from Afghanistan and he was being harbored there. Do you recall the the world was with us at that point ?

That act did take this country to it knees.
The heart of New York and the Pentagon were hit with fully loaded passenger jets. Another bound for either the Capitol or the White House was stopped by the passengers onboard who gave their lives stopping it.

The Taliban were defiant and would not give up Bin Laden. There was no question that we needed to respond.

Afghanistan was necessary but Bush and his neocon cabal invloved us with Iraq. Against the recommendations of the military experts who knew the region the best. They dismissed Gen Shinsheki and brought Gen Tommy Franks a Bush crony from Crawford Texas. Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld ignored the experts who said it would take 300 to 400 thousands troops and additional civilian experts and said he could do it with 75k troops and that it would be a cake walk. He said that we would be in and out in weeks and that Iraqi oil would pay for it all.

There was an armada of military minds including the U.S. Army War College that knew this was insanity and they were ignored and or dismissed. We have a Congress to prevent these types of mistakes from happening and all but a few like Senator Sanders blew it.
