(8,559 posts)...outrage, or even interest, over such an obviously corrupt to the core electoral system is very troubling.
Cute puppy videos generate considerably more interest than an exposé on our crooked and horribly broken electoral system.

(9,086 posts)I don't have much confidence in election results. If the system is not transparent it's only a matter of time before democracy is dead.

(36,827 posts)The OP directs traffic to the channel of a right wing nutbag. So no, I don't want to give them anything.

(7,723 posts)Unfortunately, there isn't any info here about where this was, what kind of follow up there was, and if it was some sort of scam.
But in general, it does bring out a serious concern about our elections.
Major Nikon
(36,827 posts)The fact that there's no way to verify it suggests it's just more right wing nuttery. Given the source I see no reason to give it the benefit of the doubt, especially when the traffic provides profit to an obvious creme-de-la-dum wingnut.
Fast Walker 52
(7,723 posts)But yeah, this isn't the best video to show the problem, given the lack of background and the source.

(8,559 posts)...any/all videos you feel address this very important issue well/better than the OP.
And just a friendly fyi, I think you'll find that feeding the long time obvious trolls at DU to be a tiring and fruitless endeavor.
Major Nikon
(36,827 posts)Kinda funny though, considering you probably have somewhere around 100 or more threads locked or hidden for posting the exact same nuttery about Chemtrails, Anti-vax, and other assorted crazytalk.
If that doesn't qualify as trolling, I'm not sure what would. I wasn't gonna go there, but being called a troll by you is a bit more projection than I can let slide. So if you wanna get all butthurt for getting called for posting questionable content from even more questionable sources, again, you might want to rethink that strategy, because your own history speaks for itself.
Just a friendly fyi!

(8,445 posts)But the establishment has recently developed a stark distaste for them. So pile this on top of the reasons why the parties themselves are rigged.

(8,445 posts)And plenty of electronic systems use paper ballots.
Fast Walker 52

(8,445 posts)There are other types that have the voter input their selections first (usually on a touchscreen), then make a printout... this type of paper "ballot" is unacceptable because it can take more than twice as long to vote if the voter has to read-back the printout for verification.
But the first kind is still pretty respectable IF the election culture doesn't gaslight the idea of manual recounts.

(1,642 posts)Raw vote tallies have to be made -- before they can be flipped or otherwise manipulated!
We need paper-based ballots that can be manually recounted.

(10,476 posts)has Sanders yet to file a challenge in any state's primary or caucus results?
Mr_Jefferson_24
(8,559 posts)You may recall Gore had little to say about having the presidency quite obviously stolen from him in 2000, and same with Kerry in 2004.
Are you trying to imply that everything must be on the up-and-up because if it weren't, Gore, Kerry, and Sanders would have/be sounding off about it?
Statistics don't lie and the evidence for a horribly corrupt electoral system in the US is readily available, strong, and voluminous.
That said, I still say you're asking an excellent question for which I don't have the answer. Sanders absolutely should be sounding off about it--he should be screaming bloody murder. The case for it would be easy for him to make and NOW is the time to do it.
Thank you for your question Tarc. Should I assume your vote is Y to the OP?
