I think that the chances are high that the raging cop would have shot the home owner if he had been black. I would like to be wrong but that is not how things have been going lately.

but you become what you hate.

& you're posting just like the RWers post...automatically assuming things based on no evidence & then telling people to go back across the line, across the great divide.

Be careful, or you'll find yourself a member of FOX-Nation someday

there are bad doctors, there are bad lawyers, there are bad janitors, there are bad preachers. There are fuck-ups in EVERY line of work. There are also GREAT folks in those occupations. The rube in these recordings will be dealt with accordingly. I hope they throw the book at him.

21. The thin blue line

Apr 2016

I was reminded, just yesterday, about the thin blue line.

I found a disturbing 16 page suicide note out in the woods, which referenced a local address, so turned it into the police. There's a difference between cool professionalism, and being rude. The cops I talked to belonged in the latter category. I know they see a lot of cray-cray in their life, but they could at least act interested.

No context, no followup... Sometimes these things end well (the cop getting busted or even a major investigation & overhaul at the police dept) but that news is not forwarded on & people are left with the impression that every single instance like this results in no repercussions, that there is total impunity
