Its by far the best explanation of its subject matter out there.

But there are a bunch of others too.

The long and the short of it is that our health care policy is being constrained to a very narrow set of ideologically compliant unworkable constraints in order to be consistent with US trade positions designed to maximize the extraction of wealth from the world, and similar problems exist for education and other public services and its truly evil. Its nothing less than a plot to take over the future world in a bad way.

I am not the only person saying this, thousands of people from all around the world have been saying this and there is huge opposition to this agenda.

But few people realize it all goes back to this 1994 deal.

Google the bolded text at the end of the third of these three lines. (and look at some of the links that come up that are not the WTO, and USTR, etc, who are dishonest about this)

"For the purposes of this Agreement…

(b) 'services' includes any service in any sector except services supplied in the exercise of governmental authority;

(c) 'a service supplied in the exercise of governmental authority' means any service which is supplied neither on a commercial basis, nor in competition with one or more service suppliers."

You should find some interesting stuff.

by a foreign health insurer entering the US market. You need to read the part of the paper about the US-Antigua Online Gambing case.

Also, its useful to read the award document from Achmea v. Slovak republic - this is what could happen to us in a worst case scenario.

I am just going to put a few URLs that speak to this here

Several Policyalternatives.ca documents go into length about the US-Gambling case..

This is the award from the Achmea Slovak case.

http://www.italaw.com/sites/default/files/case-documents/italaw3207.pdf

This is a document from the state of maine from 2006 that explains the problem with WTO provisions being triggered.
http://www.maine.gov/legis/opla/ctpchlthcaresub.pdf

This also shows why the states cannot have single payer while GATS exists without it presenting a huge problem.

So i dont know what is going on there. A cover up , perhaps.

Note that our situation becomes immeasurably worse if TiSA, TTIP or TPP is signed.

Really, we have to reject these things. they are not the innocent trade promoting things they are represented as . they are a backroom plot to do away with democracy in every area that matters.
