Thanks!

(52,253 posts)this one is not obvious, but it's from "hair". I've always assumed that the reason she can't find frank mills is because he had to go to vietnam. hope I'm right
I met a boy called Frank Mills
On September twelfth right here
In front of the Waverly
But unfortunately
I lost his address
He was last seen with his friend,
A drummer, he resembles George Harrison of the Beatles
But he wears his hair
Tied in a small bow at the back
I love him but it embarrasses me
To walk down the street with him
He lives in Brooklyn somewhere
And wears this white crash helmet
He has gold chains on his leather jacket
And on the back is written the names
Mary
And Mom
And Hell's Angels
I would gratefully
Appreciate it if you see him tell him
I'm in the park with my girlfriend
And please
Tell him Angela and I
Don't want the two dollars back
Just him!

(2,552 posts)"Come and sing a simple song of freedom
Sing it like you've never sung before. Let it fill the air
Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war"...
"When this song was first written and sung it spoke volumes of what people around the world were saying, "We don't want a war".
"As usual the politicians never listen but do what they want."
"This song that Bobby Darin penned and recorded in the sixties was then and still is now very profound. Nothing has changed, "We the people don't want a war".

(16,079 posts)The sun is burning in the sky,
Strands of clouds go slowly driftin' by
In the park, the dreamy bees are droning in the flowers among the trees
And the sun burns in the sky.
Now the sun is in the west
Little babies lay down to take their rest
And the couples in the park are holding hands and waiting for the dark
And the sun is sinking low.
Now the sun has come to earth
Shrouded in a mushroom cloud of death.
Death comes in a blinding flash of hellish heat that leaves a smear of ash
And the sun has come to earth.
Now the sun has disappeared
All that's left is darkness, pain and fear.
Twisted sightless wrecks of men go crawling on their knees and cry in pain
And the sun has disappeared

"Iraq war-inspired title track..."
Well I've got God on my side
And I'm just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a dangerous thing
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust
It'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust

(23,867 posts)First, I was driving past Scotia, which is where the protests were that the writer of this tune protested. Meanwhile, Bush was just starting to destroy the world, and very few were talking. So this was an incredible tune to hear.
I might add that the author of this tune sued the FBI, and won.
