Thanks for posting!

John Oliver presents issues that the M$M ignore (or skew) in a way that is both fascinating, entertaining and accurate. Miranda's presence was a wonderful bonus! What is happening in Puerto Rico right now is a first-class scandal, with too many of the usual villains involved.

Something MUST be done before May 1. Even Paul Ryan(!) is trying to move the debt-relief bill forward, which is REALLY something. http://thehill.com/policy/finance/276517-ryan-sticks-neck-out-on-puerto-rico-debt-relief-bill

Here's an overview of the debt crisis (although John did an excellent recap): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rican_government-debt_crisis

I urge everyone to write their Reps and Senators in Congress - of whatever party - and urge them to support this debt-relief bill. Long-term solutions MUST be worked out but that will take time. In the meantime, real people can die and are dying.

Hedge funds, Strom Thurmond, all of it, it is ridiculous.

That ad he showed trying to convince people to be against any kind of help.....the sad thing is that millions will buy into it because they are like putty or a dog hearing a dog whistle.
