recent stories about a battle with opiate painkillers turns out to be true.

If true, it makes me wonder what more could he have done had he not had that handicap.

As it is he must go down as one of the greatest musicians/songwriters of all time.

Tao (The Great Mother) is an approachable, comforting, and universal idea
"What is this Tao? The concept transcends the powers of reason and must be grasped intuitively, it is beyond words, beyond all differences and distinction, it is the unchanging, permanent reality of constant change, it is the ground of being and nonbeing, it is akin to the Hindu concept of the Brahman."

Tao
The Tao is called the Great Mother:
empty yet inexhaustible,
it gives birth to infinite worlds.

It is always present within you.
You can use it any way you want.

Tao Te-Ching 6

There was something formless and perfect
before the universe was born.
It is serene. Empty.
Solitary. Unchanging.
Infinite. Eternally present.
It is the mother of the universe.
For lack of a better name,
I call it the Tao.

It flows through all things,
inside and outside, and returns
to the origin of all things.

The Tao is great.
The universe is great.
Earth is great.
Man is great.
These are the four great powers.

Man follows the earth.
Earth follows the universe.
The universe follows the Tao.
The Tao follows only itself.

Tao Te Ching 25

In the beginning was the Tao.
All things issue from it;
all things return to it.

To find the origin,
trace back the manifestations.
When you recognize the children
and find the mother,
you will be free of sorrow.

If you close your mind in judgements
and traffic with desires,
your heart will be troubled.
If you keep your mind from judging
and aren't led by the senses,
your heart will find peace.

Seeing into darkness is clarity.
Knowing how to yield is strength.
Use your own light
and return to the source of light.
This is called practicing eternity.

Tao Te Ching 52

"I consider myself more of a spiritual person, than political."

"Everyone wants equal share of economic...its desirable by all."

"I am more concerned with truth. Why people won't adhere to it and why they see themselves as 'us' against 'them'."

Listen To What Prince Purchased On His Final Record Shop Spending Spree

“PLEASE SUPPORT UR LOCAL RECORD STORE 2DAY:
(THROAT CLEARS 2 ATTRACT ATTENTION): ELECTRIC FETUS”
— Prince (@prince) 16 April 2016

So Tweeted Prince on April 16, 2016 – Record Store Day. Electric Fetus, if you were wondering, was his local record shop, about half an hour drive from Paisley Park.

Prince was a regular customer, apparently, and according to retail manager Bob Fuchs, he even popped in himself on RSD to pick up a few albums, just five days before his death. Fuchs revealed the list in full to Minnesota Public Radio, and it’s a varied, eclectic collection that spans nearly eight decades of artistry.

Check it out:

Chambers Brothers – ‘The Time Has Come’
A cult classic from 1967, and home to the LA-based Chambers Brothers’ 11-minute masterpiece single ‘The Time Has Come Today’. Recorded in late 1966, the track was far, far ahead of its time. Today it’s held up as an acid rock classic.

Joni Mitchell – ‘Hejira’
Mitchell’s eighth album effectively marked the point when she grew up, by messing with more untraditional writing techniques compared to those she’d used before. Heavy on Jaco Pastorious’ fretless bass, it’s fairly easy to see why it would have appealed to Prince.

Swan Silvertones – ‘Inspirational Gospel Classics’
Formed in 1938 in West Virginia, the barbershop gospel group went on to be the inspiration behind Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’.

Missing Persons – ‘The Best Of Missing Persons’
It’s no surprise Prince was into the 80s New Wave act – his Paisley Park record label signed and released the debut solo album of singer Dale Bozzio in 1988, ‘Riot In English’.

Santana – ‘Santana IV’
Released the day before Prince purchased it, ‘Santana IV’ marks the first time in four decades that the classic line-up of Carlos Santana, Gregg Rolie, Neal Schon, Mike Carabello and Michael Shrieve have recorded an album together.

Stevie Wonder - ‘Talking Book’
An undoubted classic, and the only one of the six records Prince Tweeted about following his spree. It seems he played it straight away:
