Ignorance is rampant in the land...but in the South, it rules as the main theme of politics. We won the Civil War, and the South has remained the South for over 150 years. She takes pride in her "dixieland bigotry", and love of rebellion to what is right and just. She hangs on to her guns as a means of security to one day turn again when the time comes. A place where prejudice will always be the law of the land, and yet we have to try to drag this cesspool along with us through the future, when she kicks and screams all the way, wanting "liberty...and give me my country back" BS.
So, let them have it. We should have allowed the South to separate after the Civil War. Give safe passage to all the slaves and those wanting to progress, and leave those that are happy with their ignorance and shameful past. Forget Democrat and republican, just give the South what she has always wanted.....to stand and fall on her own. Hell, it might even make Mexico look progressive next to Jesusland.
Good riddance, and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
