(57,936 posts)I was canvassing the other day, and we stopped at a home in my neighborhood. We were looking for three young people, none of whom were home. So we spoke to their mother. She explained to us that we had to whisper because her husband is a Republican, but that she is a Democrat and a Bernie fan. She said, "It's his face. He looks so kind."
And she is right. His kindness and his concern for everyone shows on his face.
They say that a woman over 50 is responsible for her face. Bernie is responsible for his kind, somewhat worried, but conscientious looking face. It is part of the reason that he has done so well.
Bernie is responsible for his face.

(31,418 posts)Although Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders' California campaign will still center around large-scale campaign rallies over the next two weeks, the campaign has decided to go on the airwaves with a $1.5 million dollar buy.
The ad will start airing in Los Angeles tomorrow, Fresno and Sacramento.
The 30-second ad shows California farmworkers, scenes of Venice beach and college students contrasted with images of Wall Street.
In the ad, Sanders explains how California has "the power to choose a new direction for the Democratic party.

(2,412 posts)Take heart, California. Here in Oregon. the polls said that Hillary would win by about 11 points. But come to find out on election night it was quite the opposite! I think these polls are massaged to discourage Sanders voters and supress their votes..

(7,888 posts)I've made a couple of donations on ActBlue to Senator Sanders' campaign. Do we know how much cash he has on hand?
We will all pitch in to make sure CA gets to vote because "every vote matters".
