Having said that, we have to do something about the horrible income inequality in America.
With that caveat, our assessment indicates that as of 2009, the net worth of the nations 400 wealthiest individuals exceeds the net worth of half of all American households.

I am sure there is more current info on this.
How can this continue?
p.s. The Obama's deserve a reward for the bullshit they have had to put up with, so maybe I picked the wrong place to make this point.

(1,048 posts)The Kalorama section of DC is one of my favorite sections of DC next to probably Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. Just fabulous houses. I love neighborhoods like this because the houses are different and not all cookie cutter like these newer developments where all of the houses look the same. Kalorama has a really nice mix of architectural style in their houses. My aunt and uncle have a home in that section of DC so hopefully I'm able to catch a glimpse of them when I visit. How fab.

(399 posts)looks like a great place for a family that has had a stressful last 8 years to decompress and become somewhat normal again. I'm glad Malia's taking a gap year so they won't have to deal with empty nest syndrome along with this transition.
