My older brothers were amazed that I never got frightened by their claims of monsters being under my bed or by "horror movies."

That Jim Jones story was different because I realized it was REAL!

The "SALT talks" over nuclear weapons was another major eye-opener for me! I was basically like...

I was too young to remember anything when it happened except 2 things:
A helicopter image as it approached the camp, of the dead.
A sideways image of thd shoot-out (ambush) at the airstrip.

Even those memories might have been from later...

A TV movie about Jim Jones was soon made, and that made me feel ill too.

on those people was just frightening and it reminded me of the influence Hitler had in pre world war 2 Germany and more recently the influence Trump is having.

That is one strange commercial!! The Kool Aid looks like MILK in that pitcher--you're supposed to be able to see through it--it's basically colored water with some flavor, and back in the day, you added YOUR OWN sugar!

they wanted to do the talking animated face on the pitcher so they had to keep it that color for it to be seen clearly.

He grew up to be a real asshole. Always crashing through people's walls, screaming, and basically scaring the shit out of everyone.
