They may have applied some Socialist and Communistic proposals, but Cuba was never communist. If it had been, the country would be governed by committee, not by the Castro brothers.
People in the US, and elsewhere, really need to become educated as to what communism actually is instead of using the word "communism" to strike fear by defining totalitarians as "communist".
I like DU but when they further the mythology I grow concerned.

That said, clearly Trump has no regard for US trade law, and he demonstrated it by doing business with Cuba. While I think the embargo on Cuba was pure propaganda, and served no purpose but to feed the propaganda machine, anyone running for President needs to be able to demonstrate respect for US law, and Trump fails on that point.

Trump is up all night FURIOUSLY tweeting out about Miss Universe. Throws in some sex video innuendo as a decoy to the distract from the REAL scandal above. Why does he have his entire media trolling the news networks talking about Ms. Machado. Because it is dominating the airways, luring the public away from the Cuban scandal. The more time and energy on Miss U, the likely this story won't grow to a major scandal!
