But I think in this case being a narcissist is a huge advantage. He knows the scholarly literature on this personality disorder, and he understands it from the inside. He seems to be very knowledgeable on the subject.

(16,829 posts)and for those who are abused by narcissists he offers little hope. Narcissists rarely seek therapy in the first place, and when they do they are not inclined to stay, being threatened by any suggestion that they need to change.
He advises people involved with narcissists to get away from them and not to expect that they will ever change. Very sobering if you have a narcissist or two in the family.
