1. Is this the Rubber Chicken circuit?

So many prominent people, all dolled up with tuxes and adornment,
chandelier earrings and gowns, wonder what was on the menu?

Trump was caustic, Hillary was almost as such at times, but also
humorous. Donald laughed at some of her jokes! I mean, that is news!

All those important people, several members of the press, Katie Couric,
Kissinger, Rudy

I would HATE my life if I had to attend such events, and shake hands
and make small talk with people I can't stand. I don't know how you do
it, Hill. All will grow tired of appeals to compromise, higher purpose, charity,
respect. Congress isn't the Al Smith Dinner.

in the campaign for president. It raises millions for Catholic charities. Prominent philanthropists are there, including big political donors.

4. I've attended such an even, big fundraisers with all the top politicos in the same room, and its fun

to hang with them, socialize, eat great food, drink a bit, instead of working at politics. You greet and shake hands with the governor and all your members of Congress in one night in a social setting and chit-chat, like NY cocktail party with politicians. And you or your organization drop a big bundle of cash on a good organization the politicos are there to support. I'm sure it is a nice break from hard work for the politicos while doing some good at the same time. In my state, NARAL's event is their largest annual infusion.
