He doesn't really have a lot of depth

Did you catch his 'joke' he threw in there after Maher was explaining the difference of actual locker room talk and Trump's talk of uninvited grabbing of the p***y.
"So you're saying you're voting for Trump?"
Har har har Jimmy.

He wiped his ads with it. Bill doesn't need to resort to lying in order to make a case against Trump.

For all of the many... many.. Many... MANY faults the shrub had, there are is a large number of ways that he was better than the orange orangutan when it comes to respect of the Constitution.

Bush did have an understanding of separation of powers between the branches of government.

I don't recall Bush making tons of campaign promises that was beyond the authority of the presidency like Trump does every single stump speech. Bush never outright said he'd appoint justices based on overturning decisions like Roe vs Wade, or based on the definition of marriage.

Even though Bush was the president during 9/11 and the aftermath, I don't ever recall him going before the public and making statements that he was going to close mosques, and deny entry of people to the US based on their religious belief.

These are just a couple examples I can think of right off the top of my head... hell, andy tRump speech is riddled with unconstitutional promises and proposals. Outright and unapologetically.

I feel like I need to take a long hot shower for defending Shrub here, but relatively speaking, comparing him to tRump? yeah, he had a much better understanding and respect of the Constitution imo.

That we actually think the GWBush admin was more palatable? The Bush Admin who made first amendment zones and corralled protesters in police tape and jailed them quickly if necessary? I truly think they would have pushed the same envelopes that Trump is if they thought they could get away with it at the time. People like G Gordon Liddy and Michael Savage and to a milder extent, Mush Limbaugh stoke the paranoia of their lazy, misinformed listening public to the point of unconstitutional behavior and it get worse every year. Hate speech needs to be reclassified and recognized for what it is or we are finished, if not this election cycle, then in the next one.

Free speech zones, the Patriot Act, torture -- I could go on and on. The crazy has been raised to a different level this year, but I' m not going to pretend that Bush and Cheney weren't sick as well. Every four years now we have 'the most important election in our lifetime.' We'll have another one in four more years. It would be nice for once to have an election where we aren't scared to death of tanks in the streets if we don't dash to the polls to keep Satan out of the White House.

I am amazed when I think of the fact that Maher is five years older than Obama. Thought about that through his entire interview with the President.
