And if only the most electoral college votes went to Hillary, not Trump. (Because if the electoral college denies Trump the votes and then we end up with Pence....That would be awful too. President Trump=The most awful thing ever President Pence=2nd most awful thing ever )

a candidate who had won 306 electoral votes to lower his vote total to less than 270 would be basically slim to none.

Of course to put Hillary in the Oval Office would requre enough of the vote changers to vote for Hillary otherwise the election would be determined by the Republican controlled House of Repuresentatives who would never vote for Hillary to be our President.

But then this is not a normal presidential election by any means.

The House would select from the top three electoral vote recipients if no candidate had 270. If the electoral college goes with a consensus candidate (like Kasich) then the House might pick him.

The Senate would select the vice president.

...it kind of feels like there's still another shoe to drop.
As mentioned above, this has been a wacky election - anything can happen.
The problem as I see it is not just trump, it's his supporters who are a particularly odd group.
The supporters are all puffed up these days, beating up LGBT people, scrawling racist/Nazi remarks, and twitting away on their masters favorite medium. Can you just imagine the reaction to trump being removed as the "winner"?
Either way, we all have to remember that these deplorables only constitute 25-30% of the electorate at best. We simply have to come together as the opposition and prepare for 2018 and beyond united as a political force.
