$$$ to FLYNN: from Mercer's or tRUMP or one of his LLC's or RUSSIA? Or how about that Inaug. slush fund that no one seems to have accounted for?

(22,037 posts)I'm not sure if you're correct on this. If Articles of Impeachment are drafted in the House of Representatives, and even if they're passed, the president still has his full powers. He only loses power if the Senate convicts him.
It seems analogous to the concept of innocence until guilt is proven. If you're charged with a crime, you generally don't lose your rights until you've been convicted. (I know there are exceptions, particularly for violent crimes.)
