The current administration and the GOP in general want to do everything they can to emasculate the Federal government and re-institute the freakin' Articles of Confederation. So every time a state or municipality tells the Feds to take a flying leap, they further this goal. This is also known as "damned if you do, damned if you don't."

"emasculate"? come to think of it, you may be correct. they are certainly acting like they are worried something is going to happen to their little things.

... it's just serendipity.
I would think that their things are so hard to find, the only way to cut them off would be to saw them in half at the waist.
