12. The election system vulnerabilities have been widely known for years.

When the election was hacked against John Kerry and the former White House IT guy died in a small plane crash just days before his deposition into the hack from his TN company the case went no where.

Democrats are culpable in that they have not really made this an issue either until now. Even now like they say the focus has been all on Russia and Trump but not protecting our vote. I would have expected calls to have the states all go back to paper ballots and verified reporting of the vote totals for each District. Instead it's crickets!

13. How can you have "calls to have states all go back to paper ballots"

when they won't even fucking listen to the head of DHS about the vulnerabilities because they are busy yelling "states rights!!11!!!" and don't want "federal" interference"?

Tell me, how do you force states to do this? Podium pounding ain't gonna do it. It would require a federal law that establishes a minimum set of criteria for elections systems "approved" at the federal level (perhaps after an all-state working committee establishes the standards), and they could of course sue if that happened, and would (correctly) invoke the 10th Amendment. The end.

This has nothing to do with "Democrats".

the grand illusionist of orange oz will try to bring charges against obama and others
for not protecting the country and constitution when they knew the country was under attack in cyberspace.

Of course he'll forget that he asked for the russians to interfere on live tv or say "I was just a civilian, couldn't do anything."

He is just the sideshow bob to do it.

6. Not only can't we rely on Trump to protect the U.S..........

we can't rely on Trump to not GIVE STATE SECRETS to the Russians, or other enemies of the country. Trump is the biggest chink in the armor, the soft underbelly where enemy governments would attack if they wanted to get classified information. He invited the Russians into the Oval Office, and laughed and joked with them like they were long lost friends! Just "buddy up" with Trump, tell him what a "good boy" he is, rub his fat belly, and he'll spill the country's secrets like a slobbering dog. He'd probably start humping your leg!

But STILL, 40% of Americans (50% if you watch FOX) think he's doing a G-R-E-A-T job of running the country!

I've been worried how many state secrets the evil orange slime had already given his best buddy Putin.

The government could have put the patches in and have refused to do so....if they want to fuck up city legislatures, but national elections can't be up to the states any longer.

9. How do we get our country back when our electoral process is totally compromised?
Sun Jun 25, 2017, 11:31 AM

Gerrymandering
Electronic voting machines
Purging of voter rolls, particularly those who may vote democratic
Voter apathy - which will only get worse if people feel their vote won't be counted or that our systems are compromised
Money in politics - it's obscene the money spent.

I hate being a downheader, but damn, it's stacking up against us.
