When I read he dropped off Trump advisory council over Trumps failure to blame white nationalists I looked him up, thinking he might be Jewish and sensitive about Nazis etc. in fact he is black, son of a janitor. Harvard Law to main line Philly law firm. While there pro bono he got Jemes Bo Cochran off death row (cops killed the store clerk by accident, hid body, charged Bo who was nearby with a gun not fired). Frazier got the new trial by getting the Appeals Court to rule prosecutor used automatic juror refusals to block black jurors based solely on race. Frazier law firm represented Merck, who hired Frazier as general council. Stock analysts thought Merck would owe 20 to 40 billion for Vioxx lawsuits. Frazier took charge of the lawsuits and Merck ended up paying "only" 4.5 billion. Merck made him President a couple years later, then CEO. Before he took over Merck stock had dropped two thirds. Since Frazier took over the stock has almost doubled. He made Merck spend more on research and not cut costs to meet stock market profit expectations. At the law firm he would take summer sabbaticals to teach trial advocacy in South Africa.
