That Ann-Margaret was his true love...it was certainly a hit and heavy romance and they remained close until his death. Having worked as a lead tour guide at Graceland, I've got some stories related to them!

Elvis described her as being somewhat of a "soul mate", for lack of a better description, the phrase he used was a "female me". If it had not been for Col Tom, who was adamantly opposed to the relationship, and young Priscilla's father, who threatened violence against Presley if he did not honor his commitment to his daughter, Elvis and Ann-Margaret may very well have married.
