There's no way for her to know the other woman was three months pregnant.

She went way over the top in her response. Her response was violent and over the top. She committed the more violent assault IMO.

With a beat down like you witnessed, many would be screaming police brutality. She deserves a felonious assault charge IMO.

But she was threatened with being "shot in the face" by that woman, and she was assaulted by that woman, so I would have done the same damned thing.

When you're in a self-defense situation, when it's time to use force, you explode with that force. You strike swiftly, and you strike viciously. And you keep striking until the threat is ended. Like this woman did. You don't take chances, you don't tap lightly and hope your opponent suddenly gains enlightenment and stops fighting. YOU END THE THREAT.

Suppress a defensive primitive instinct once it's been challenged. And if she's been assaulted before, the drive might be even stronger to fight back harder. And we don't know if there is someone close to her that she felt was being insulted, even threatened, by the racist rant. I think there could be, may be, mitigating circumstances.

I don't think she deserves any worse punishment than the woman in the dress.

the other woman hit back enough to get her down on the ground and make sure she didn't rise, without actually HURTING her. That's important. The big lady didn't seem to have actual injuries...so it may have looked bad, but it wasn't.

It's not like 2 men doing punches, which can break jaws and knock out teeth.

The one doing the physical violence first is the one at fault. I think that's the law. Now, the 2nd woman didn't have a right to shoot her or hit her with a brick, but doing what she did...I'm fine w/that. She needed to get that big woman off her and make sure she didn't return to hit her again.

The younger woman called her out on it, so white trash lady got in her face and started making threats. The rest was captured on the video.

Both women are at fault. The by-standers are at fault as well. Did you here the musing-chuckles and see long delay to stop it?

If the lady in the blue dress had stayed out of that ladies face and put her hands on her, that fight would never have happened. Grown folks today, this is life in the Trump era.

This was clear-cut self defense. Racist white trash woman first threatened to shoot the defending woman in the face, then got in her face and shoved her. The defending woman had the right to use all force necessary to stop the threat, and did.
