Trump might have asked for forgiveness, but there's no way in hell he's mended his wicked ways. Anyone who wants to take healthcare away from the poorest and sickest, who wants to help the wealthy at the poor's expense, who tries to pick fights - nuclear fights - with other tin-pot dictators in the world, who appeases hateful neo-Nazis and rails against the peacemakers, and commits an endless list of other transgressions, HAS NOT mended his ways.

Of course Trump is so ignorant and incurious about religion as he is about government. He probably thinks he can just say an endless amount of "I'm sorrys", and be forgiven every time, and then keep on fucking people over endlessly.

No, Trump is a pathological liar. He's lying to those "religious" leaders, who in turn are lying about their belief to their followers. I've no doubt most of them know that religion is a scam, and they just wanted to be on the "receiving" end, and not the "giving" end of the extremely lucrative religious business. That's why Trump and these religious scam artists get on so well: they all know they're selling nothing but bullshit, and are getting rich doing it.
