Good job costuming too. That's even a Webley MK IV.

All the people involved in this show clearly loved their craft.

...was comedy gold!

A whole series (season) of hilariously poking fun at the absurdity of life in the trenches of WWI.

That last scene was a poignant twist on the utter tragedy of war. The writers exemplified the comedy (that had) to be found in a horrible situation.

A very British military trait.
