(57,204 posts)long rationalization minimizing his responsibility. With a 30 sec recap apology.
"Rachael, I'm sorry but I was having a bad hair day. Sorry it fell on you."
Apologies hardly ever have the word 'but' in them.

(57,936 posts)I challenge Chick-fil-A's owner to demonstrate true Christian devotion and a willingness to sacrifice to fulfill God's Commandments and close all of his stores all day every Sunday as required by the Ten Commandments.
12 Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.

Across Los Angeles, I see devout Jews walking, not driving, to their temples on Saturday. They strictly observe this Commandment from Friday at sunset throughout Saturday.
Before you start invoking obscure, vague, imagined commandments of God, why don't you, like my Jewish neighbors, observe the first Ten Commandments, starting with the Commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy. Then you might be able to talk whether other people are committing adultery.
