Yeah, not seeing it... I watched their show/schtick a few times: nice *dirty* older man, numerous in-ur-endos, nod-nod wink-wink.

dinosaurs from the era when men could treat women, and in some cases men, in the workplace anyway they wanted—Rose, O'Reilly, Ailes, Weinstein, Spacey and whoever else yet to be exposed—their time is over in a flash.

Good. It's a new day.

There is some caution to be taken, however.

#me_too has to evolve and mature as we are finding and will no doubt continue find that not all allegations can automatically be believed whole cloth without question—witness the Al Franken case.

She was acting like CBS's press secretary, pumping out canned lines about how thoughtful and caring and wonderful CBS is and how this is not them. I guess they didn't have to disclose that they're all the same family, but it just sounded phony as hell to me.

And I have to admit I cringed a little when I saw she was scheduled. Colbert has perfect timing, Louis C.K. was scheduled the day the news about him broke and he did cancel. I was on the fence about posting this, but I did watch, usually do, and since both late night guys led with it, I thought what she had to say was newsworthy if anyone was interested.

Awful to have your trust betrayed by a friend. You can tell she's torn and still trying to make sense of it all.

After I saw Charlie's interview with Penelope Cruz on 60 Minutes a couple of years ago, I was a bit wary. I thought he was gonna jump out of his chair and lick her up and down like she was a melting ice cream cone on a hot summer day.

I gave him a pass and bought into the southern gentleman image of him. Shoulda' trusted my instincts .

or some female talk show. (I was changing channels, so it was either Rachel Ray or The View or something like that.)

Maybe it's a coincidence. But she hasn't been a guest interviewee on these shows for a looooong time. And then suddenly she's booked? Hmmm.

If she were coming out to defend him, maybe, since timing matters. But I heard her make a "I'm shocked" sort of statement, which is not a defensive statement. And Charlie Rose has apologized (although he says some of the claims are false).

I am shocked, though, at the Charlie Rose allegations. I would never in a million years have thought him capable of such things. I've watched his show for many years. I'm stunned.
